Team USA Fields Strong Lineup to Take On WorldPublished by the Daily Camera on May 14, 2015 The Bolder Boulder revealed the names Tuesday of the 18 men and women who will make up the American teams in the pro races this year. It is a strong contingent of American runners who will compete against the likes of Eritrea, Ethiopia and Kenya in Boulder's iconic Memorial Day 10K. Former Olympian Abdi Abdirahman, seven-time Notre Dame All-American Patrick Smyth, Boulder's Sean Quigley, and Bobby Curtis, who finished second overall in the U.S. Olympic Trials in the 10K, are four of the nine American men in the pro field. The women's side features six-time Division II national champion Alisha Williams, 2015 world cross country Team USA member Mattie Suver, Kristen Zaitz, who set a course record at the Austin Half Marathon earlier this year, and former CU runner Renee Bailee.
