Weather helps Bolder Boulder citizens' race winner - The Denver Post

BOULDER — At 5-foot-2, Freya Murray did not cast long strides over the Bolder Boulder 10K citizens' race course today. What she lacked in height she compensated for with the speedy churns of 25-year-old legs, winning the women's race in a time of 34 minutes, 23 seconds.

Kenyan Simon Cheprot won the men's citizens' race with a new course record of 29:19.

For Murray, it was her first Bolder Boulder. The native of Edinburgh, Scotland, has been training in Boulder since September, however, under the auspices of former marathon world record holder, Steve Jones.

"I really enjoyed it. The weather was ideal and the support around the course was excellent," Murray said. "Steve Jones has really helped me. He told me, 'just don't....
